How to get here
The Lakshadweep islands are connected to India's mainland with a AirIndia flight between Kochi (big city in Kerala state) and Agatti (the only island with an airport). The flight has a duration of 90 minutes. The daily flight departs Kochi at 10am and return from Agatti at 12pm. Major airlines like Airfrance, Emirates, Qatar and Airways fly to Kochi. As the only flight to Agatti is in the morning we recommend to spend one night in Kochi or to include a longer stop to visit the city and the surrounding areas.
It is possible to reach different islands and hotels from Agatti using speed boats. The duration of the transfer is up to a maximum of 40 minutes.
Where to stay
We offer independent cottages or bungalows on the beachfront of the following islands: Bangaram, Thinnakara, Minicoy, e Kadmat. The bungalows and cottages are part of resorts with communal restaurant and reception that also organize daily excursions.
An alternative option is a cruise aboard a motorboat with accomodation onboard and visits to different islands of the archipelago.
It is necessary to obtain a government permit to visit the National Park. Our agency takes care of the permit issuance. To visit India U.S. citizens can apply for an electronic travel authorization at least four days prior to their arrival in lieu of applying for a tourist visa at an Indian embassy or consulate.
